Iconic Picture Analysis
This iconic picture of Iggy Pop contains many of his well known features. The long hair(with bangs) that has been a part of his image for much of his career is displayed clearly.  Drug use has taken a large toll on this performer, which can be seen in his incredibly thin and worn body. Iggy's presence at the front of the stage shows him as a singer.  The background includes the band, made up of a bassist and a drummer, shows the important but almost small role that his band, the Stooges, played in his life and career. His image, including clothing, hair, sweat, facial expression, poise and posture, display him as the ruthless performer that he is.  He is also shown taking his pants off, which is one of many things he commonly did on stage. The only thing that is missing from the picture is blood, and maybe some awkward but flexible amp humping.
